Abstract

Protein engineering has been one of the most requested expansions since we launched. Today it's live.

Atomis now supports protein variant screening, stability prediction, and function-targeted engineering as first-class research domains -with the same prediction accuracy standards and explainability layer that apply across all our other supported disciplines.

This wasn't a feature flag we flipped. We spent eight months validating the approach with three partner programs - two academic labs and one biotech - before making it generally available. Accuracy benchmarks across those programs are published in our methodology documentation.

What's supported from day one:

  • Multi-objective optimisation across expression, thermostability, and function

  • Explainability reports for variant rankings

  • Lab validation integration for top candidates

  • Variant screening against target stability and binding properties

What's coming:

  • Directed evolution simulation workflows (Q1 2024)

  • AlphaFold structure integration (Q2 2024)

If your program involves protein engineering, your account already has access. No plan change required on Professional or Enterprise.
